About
About Desert Ridge Roofing
A homeowner guide publication for Phoenix and the Desert Ridge area — the cost homework, done in public, before you hire anyone.
What this site is — and is not
Desert Ridge Roofing publishes roofing cost guides, lifespan explainers, storm-damage playbooks and hiring checklists for Phoenix-metro homeowners. We are an editorial publication. We are not a roofing contractor: we have no crews, we do not climb roofs, we do not give quotes, and you cannot hire us to fix, replace or inspect your roof. When a guide helps you, the work itself is done by a licensed, ROC-registered roofing company you choose.
The name comes from where we focus. Desert Ridge — the master-planned community in Northeast Phoenix, built out from the mid-1990s onward — is a perfect cross-section of the Valley's roofing problem: thousands of tile roofs now 20–30 years old, sitting in the exact window where the underlayment underneath them wears out. What is true on a Desert Ridge street is true from Scottsdale to Surprise, so the guides cover the whole Phoenix metro.
How we compile costs
Every number on this site is a range from a named third-party source — Angi's Phoenix cost data, HomeAdvisor, the National Weather Service for monsoon dates, the Arizona Registrar of Contractors for licensing, and roofing-industry references for material lifespans. Sources are credited on the page that uses them. We do not publish invented precision: when sources disagree, you see a wider range, not a fake exact figure. When a source updates its data, we update ours and note the revision date on the page.
How we make money
Local roofing companies can pay for featured placement in our company roundups and guides. Three rules keep that honest:
- Always labeled. Paid placements carry a visible "Featured" label. Nothing unlabeled is paid.
- Placement is not a ranking. Paying moves a company into a featured slot; it does not buy an editorial position, a "best" title, or a recommendation.
- No invented ratings. We never publish star ratings, review counts or scores for companies — ours or anyone else's. Company entries carry factual descriptors only: years in business, base city, roof types and services.
Roofing companies can read the details on our For Roofers page. Our full sourcing and corrections rules are in the editorial policy.
Who runs it
Desert Ridge Roofing is published by the Desert Ridge Roofing Editorial Team and built by DOTS Growth. Questions, corrections and better sources are welcome via the contact page — a verified error gets fixed and the page gets a revision note.
