How we research and publish

The rules every page on this site is written and checked against.

Sources, named on the page

Cost figures come from named third-party sources — principally Angi's Phoenix cost data, supplemented by HomeAdvisor, the National Weather Service (monsoon dates and storm definitions), the Arizona Registrar of Contractors (licensing rules) and manufacturer and industry references for material lifespans. The page that uses a figure credits the source in the text.

Ranges, not fake precision

Roofing prices are genuinely variable — roof size, pitch, material, access and the condition of what's underneath move a quote by thousands of dollars. We publish ranges that reflect that spread. A single "average" appears only when a named source publishes one (for example Angi's $8,856 Phoenix replacement average), and it is always shown next to its range. If two sources disagree, the range widens; it never quietly picks the number that reads better.

No invented ratings, ever

Company entries on this site carry factual descriptors only: years in business, base city, roof types, services, licensing. We do not assign star ratings, scores or review counts to any company — not editorially, and not for money. If a page ever shows a number about a company, it is a sourced fact (for example a founding year), and you can ask us for the source via the contact page.

Paid placement is labeled

Roofing companies may pay for featured placement. It is always labeled "Featured," it never changes an editorial conclusion, and it never buys a position in an editorial order. The full model is on the For Roofers page.

Corrections

Found an error — a stale figure, a wrong lifespan, a company fact that changed? Tell us via the contact page with the page URL and your source. Verified corrections are made promptly, and the corrected page carries a revision note with its updated date.

We are not your roofer

Nothing on this site is a quote, an inspection or professional advice for your specific roof. It is published information to help you hire and budget. Your roof's actual condition can only be judged on the roof, by a licensed roofer.
